Trixie is a strong and sassy Haflinger mare, a breed originating in Austria and commonly used by Amish farmers. She was born and raised on an Amish farm in Ohio where she established a strong work ethic and the confidence to be a lead mare here at SRA. She is also a great therapy horse, an example of confidence and assertiveness, because she kindly makes her boundaries clear to everyone, including humans. She’s also pretty and fun to ride.
